11 Prozent - Where does the name come from?

It happened sometime in 2002 when the sun was setting at the horizon. A cosy evening by candlelight and a decent bottle of wine, philosophical thoughts and some basic questions definitely facilitated the establishment of the new company.
Combining two core competencies (marketing & sales) brought up new questions. These had to be discussed and decided upon.
The idea of our own company was born. Now a name had to be found. Someone had a look at the label on the back of the bottle, ... there it was, ... 11% Vol. Short silence.
11 Prozent - sounds good.
So everything fell into place.
All jokes aside: 20 marketing specialists racked their brains day and night for several weeks to create a CI for the new company. It had to be right on top in every phone directory and Outlook in the world. It should be simple and easy to remember. There had to be a number in the name, ... finally everything was fixed. 11 Prozent was just perfect. The web domain was still available und now we even can tell a nice story about it.
